Last week we went to Arabia Mountain and we had to write 3
different poems in different ways. We
also had to take pictures that were on a list like the frog pond and many other
things. We had to check off the pictures as we took them. We hiked down and up,
some of the mountain was kind of steep and it was really fun. After we wrote the
poems we had to measure a weathering pit with Mr. Childs we had to have
partners of two so Amanda and me were partners. One person had to hold one end
of the measuring tape while the other had to hold the other end. We had to
measure from end to end and also we had to measure from the middle and then we
had to record what we found out. Then we had to stick a pencil into the dirt where
the biggest and tallest plant was and we had too see how deep the soil was.
Some differences between Arabia Mountain and Stone Mountain are that Stone
Mountain has less plants than Arabia Mountain. Stone mountain is bigger than Arabia
Mountain. Some similarities are that they are both made of granite and they
both have weathering pits.
